And in the early evening, we had a pleasant picnic on the shore of the Colorado River just past Needles, before going over the bridge to Arizona. It made an Impression.

I would have shown you the rest of the day, but it was too dark for the camera and we were just driving anyway. We found a bottle of wine in Williams for Laura's friends who work at the Grand Canyon, and went on our way.
Hot Tip of the Day!!
They now charge $20 to get into the Grand Canyon National Park. That certainly should be enough to keep anyone without a Winnebago out, don't ya think?
But here's the deal: They aren't there to collect at night!!! So if you show up late enough, you don't have to pay at all. Remember, as Eugene McCarthy once said, an efficient bureaucracy is the greatest threat to liberty!
Good thing we don't have to worry.
